Our Story

Multiply Church Lake Norman was founded in the Fall of 2017 by Pastor Zack and Jenna Whitt. With 36 individuals gathered at the Our Town Cinema in Davidson, NC, they embarked on a collective mission to spread the gospel of Jesus to the Lake Norman community. In the ensuing years, the church experienced growth by engaging in outreach efforts, fostering small groups, and building a connection with Davidson College. As our congregation began to grow, the need for a larger facility was pressing, and we began to pray for a space that would allow us to broaden our impact within the community.

Our prayers for a larger meeting space were answered through  connections that members had with Liberty Prep Christian Academy (LPCA), situated just three miles away from the movie theater. A collaboration with LPCA was established, leading to the inaugural service held in July of 2021. This new venue facilitated the expansion of the children's ministry, the introduction of live-streamed services, and the introduction of a second service time.

Driven by a commitment to church multiplication and discipleship, Multiply Church Lake Norman joined forces with Get Strong Ministries in 2022 to initiate their maiden international church plant, Multiply Church Ocotal in Nicaragua. Shortly thereafter, Multiply Church Livingstone emerged from more than a decade's worth of ministry efforts in Zambia by long-time Multiply Lake Norman members Toby & Kay Hudson.

In 2023, an opportunity arose for a permanent home in the Lake Norman community, a prayer held since the inception of Multiply Church Lake Norman in 2017!

Acquiring a church building only blocks away from downtown Mooresville presents a fresh avenue to engage with the community on a deeper level. We trust that the Lord has grander visions for this new abode than we could ever conceive for ourselves.
